Stella Behnan has committed to Saint Mary's College of Notre Dame to further her athletic and academic career. Behnan will be running cross country for the Belles.
While a student-athlete at Marine City Cardinal Mooney, Behnan competed at the varsity level all four years of high school in cross country and track. She has a personal best of 20:37 for the 5K - which is the school record - and has many notable achievements in both athletics and academics:
2024 MHSAA XC Div 4 State Qualifier
2024 MHSAA T&F Div 4 State Qualifier - 3200 meters
2025 MHSAA T&F Div 4 State Qualifier - 4x800 meter relay
Mock Trial State Qualifier
2025 Mock Trial State Runner Up
2026 AP Scholar with Distinction
Valedictorian
Behnan says she’s interested in studying either nursing or biological studies and chose St. Mary's because, "I loved the idea of a close-knit, all-female Catholic community where I could balance academics with cross country, all while having the social energy of Notre Dame right next door."
Congratulations, Stella!
