PRs Abound at Mid-Season Spectacular, James Cleverly Invitational, and North Branch County Press Invite

The majority of Blue Water Area high school cross country teams ran on Friday afternoon at the Brooks Mid-Season Spectacular at Goodells Park, hosted by Yale. Spectacular is the right adjective to describe the results of the meet: out of 258 varsity racers, 36 girls and 54 boys set their PR, which is approximately 35% of the field racing to a personal best. If you include season-best times, 50% of athletes saw a time drop. All varsity athletes raced together but were separated by large school/small school divisions for top 30 medals, top 10 Brooks bags, and top two team trophies.
