Cass City Victory & Athlete of the Week Honors: Pepin and Thompson Lead Cros-Lex

With the first meet in the books last week for most local area teams, the second week of competition season gave us a few new additions to our Blue Water Area Top 30 Times List, along with some big victories and statements of improvement early in the fall.  This week also kicks off the first Blue Water Running Cross Country “Athlete of the Week” recognition. Here’s a recap of race competition around our area from Aug. 25-29.

But first, the question many ask: “Why do you charge to read an article?” Simply put, because hosting Blue Water Running costs money. Subscription fees are necessary to cover website, photography, and podcast site costs, which are thousands of dollars and rising each year.  Blue Water Running is not a commercial business and does not make a profit from subscription fees; the fees simply pay the bills.  An unlimited subscription is only $5 a month (less than a fancy coffee, which you probably don’t expect the barista to give you for free) or a discounted price of $50 a year.  Please consider subscribing to Blue Water Running to help support local coverage of cross country and track and field.  Advertising sponsorships are also available, so please reach out if you are interested in advertising your business across the website, podcast, and social media. Thank you for your support!  Now on to our results!
