MITCA Champions Track and Field Festival Wraps Up Michigan Outdoor Season

The 3rd annual MITCA Champions of Champions Track and Field Festival held at Davison High School’s Cardinal Stadium gave Michigan athletes one more opportunity to compete in their events before the 2025 outdoor season officially ended. With competitors from all four divisions (and the Upper Peninsula) grouped in various heats, it was a unique opportunity to test the best across the state: events were spread across both Friday and Saturday, and many state-wide and meet/facility records were set. The United States Association of Track and Field (USATF) sanctions the meet as a national qualifying opportunity, and the top 16 entries are placed in a “champions division”, while the remaining entries are divided amongst an “up-and-comers” division or freshmen/middle school categories. Race pacers were utilized for the first time this year to pull each field to a goal pace/time, and medals were awarded to the top three places in each division.
As athletes are technically competing post-season and outside of the MHSAA, they cannot wear their school uniforms or use their school title; results are listed as unattached or by club sport team names. If your result was missed, please message Blue Water Running so we can add it to the local athlete finishes listed below.
